Did you know that Business Coaching is a Tax Deduction with the ATO?
As the Owner or Senior Manager within an RTO you can claim up to $20,000 a year on business coaching and training that’s directly related to your industry sector and will likely help you increase your income.
This is because the government wants to encourage small business owners to continue to learn and increase their learning potential.
So if you are a member of Vivacity, accessing our coaching, consulting and training services, you can claim membership as a Tax Deduction.
According to the Australian Tax Office, there are three golden rules for what they will accept as a valid business deduction:
- The expense must have been for your business, not for private use.
- If the expense is for a mix of business and private use, you can only claim the portion that is used for your business.
- You must have records to prove it.
For example, if you purchase business coaching and consulting for your RTO, you can claim a deduction for the full price of the coaching.
You can’t claim the GST component of a purchase as a deduction if you can claim it as a GST credit on your business activity statement.
Vivacity has been offering RTO Business Coaching since 2019, helping training organisations to not just be compliant, but also save time and save money.
Let’s face it… we cannot survive on compliance alone, we need to have a successful business and who better to go to than to a team of experts who don’t just understand compliance, but they know business success and have helped over 300 RTOs around Australia to grow and scale.
